Dynamic, beautiful landscape trends

Posted by:

I just came back from the Los Angeles landscape industry show and had the opportunity to see some interesting trends.  I saw many of the usual landscape nurseries there with beautiful annuals but there are also many more nurseries showing succulent, cactus and drought tolerant plants.  It is beautiful to see that many of the nurseries are adapting to the long term drought potential that we have in California.  The new varieties of plants are astounding.

Another interesting thing that I saw in the demonstration area was vegetable gardens. This is the first time I have ever seen raised beds shown at the industry show.   The show is usually devoted to ornamental demonstrations but so strong is the trend to vegetable gardening, the designers of the show added vegetable beds to acknowledge the change.

A purveyor that I had never before seen at the show indicated another trend- rain barrels.  Some of these were VERY big and had pumps to move the water from the holding tanks to the irrigation system.  Many of them were outfitted with the means to collect water from the roof gutters.

Finally, one of the trends that I really welcome are the many beautiful new pots.  Besides the many colors, shapes and sizes, we now have a choice of many pots that are actually sculptural so that they are not only displaying a beautiful plant but many times can stand on their own as a piece of art.

i have some feng shui painting tips for you are not getting the old walls painted.why? because you know we are taking those walls down.making the old walls nice and then tearing them down would be very bad energy or whatever.tearing down the old wall and putting up a nice new one is good energy. you can paint the new walls, not the old, the paint must wait for the new walls. okay?References :
